Mission Statement

Australian Production & Industry

The best way to support the economy is to support Australian made products, business, and industry.  Wherever possible, we ALWAYS source local products over imports, this helps to support our economy, and supports local jobs & economic growth.

Corporate Welfare

We believe that corporate welfare is a huge economic problem in Australia, as such we refuse to accept any form of corporate welfare, grants, schemes, handouts, etc.  During COVID, our business survived through good business practice and hard work, we did NOT accept any government assistance, job keeper payments or grants.

It is important to understand that nothing that is handed out by governments is free, we all pay for it through the personal income tax system.

We prefer to support and deal primarily with business and industry that aligns with these principles.

Employment

At Condamine Caravan Repairs, we are an equal opportunity employer.  It is important to us that everyone is given the opportunity to be a valuable contributor to society and not be reliant on welfare to survive.  We do not discriminate against job applicants based on gender, race, lifestyle, education.  We employ based on individual ability, willingness to learn new skills and achieve goals.

While we do employ people with disabilities or a history of long-term unemployment, we do NOT accept any government wage subsidies or payments for doing so.  We pay a good day’s wages for a good day’s work.

There is a loophole in the super system that allows for employers of under 18’s to not pay super for a low number of hours worked.  We believe this is child exploitation and we make a point of paying ALL our employees the full amount of super they are entitled to without discrimination.

All our staff are paid above award rates, based on skillsets and abilities, as our staff grow and learn new skills, we reassess and increase wages accordingly.

Environment

We actively find ways to recycle and reuse as much of our waste as possible, all our waste is stripped down, sorted, and recycled or repurposed.  We have replaced our high consumption mercury gas lighting with efficient LED lighting at our own expense without any government assistance or grants.  Our plans for the near future are to install more renewable power sources to provide for our power requirements.

Financial

Like any business, we need to make a profit however we choose to make profits ethically.  While we offer a full range of payment options to our clients, we strongly encourage the use of cash.  $50 cash is still $50 cash after it changes hands 30 times.  $50 after 30 EFTPOS transactions is now worth $5 and the banks have gained $45.
